Day 1 : Blois - Chambord - Bracieux

  • 27 km
Today, cross Jacques Gabriel bridge and follow the Loire river to Saint-Dye-sur-Loire where you will enter the forest of Chambord. Visit this amazingly innovative castle built by Francis the Ist. Then, keep cycling until you arrive at your first hotel.

Day 2 : Bracieux - Cheverny - Chitenay

  • 27 km
Today, take your bikes to Cheverny castle which inspired Hergé when he designed Moulinsart in his famous comic Tintin. After the visit and maybe a walk in its luxurious park, feel free to stop at La Maison des Vins where you can taste some local wines. Then, ride to Chitenay for the second night of your trip.

Day 3 : Chitenay - Chaumont-sur-Loire

  • 31 km
Leave Chitenay using the cycle path to reach Chaumont-sur-Loire. You will need at least 3 hours to visit the whole site: a Renaissance castle - which offers a beautiful panorama on the Loire river -, a park - where pieces of contemporary art are on exhibition -, and the international garden festival which changes every year according to a theme.

Day 4 : Chaumont-sur-Loire - Blois

  • 22 km
For this last day, ride back to Blois along the Loire river. Once in town, take a walk in the old streets before visiting Blois castle which architecture reflects French history. When you are ready, come back to our shop to drop your bikes off.

Your trip:
Leave Blois for a 4 day long trip specialy organised for families. You will visit 4 wonderful castles - Chambord, Cheverny, Chaumont-sur-Loire & Blois - cycling into a beautiful nature.
 
How to arrive in Blois?

By train : Blois-Chambord Station. Our shop is at a 5 min. walk from the station.

By car: Highway A10, Blois/Vendôme exit

Free parking lots: 
Parc rue Halou - at 300m from our shop / at 50m from Blois-Chambord station
Promenade Edmond Mounin - at 850m from our shop / at 900m from Blois-Chambord station
Parking du Mail - at 1.3km from our shop / at 1.3km from Blois-Chambord station
Parking Saint-Jean - at 1.4km from our shop / at 1.5km from Blois-Chambord station
 
Fee-paying parking lots: 
Streets paking (4.80€ per day / 12€ ticket for 7 days)
(To get the 7 days ticket at the parking meter: yellow button -> 1 -> Enter your licence plate -> "Valider" - > "Max")
 
Underground fee-paying parking lot: 
Le Parking du Château (9€ per day / 28€ ticket for 7 days) - at 300m from our shop / at 350m from Blois-Chambord Station
 

More information:

Our hotels are accreditated Accueil Vélo (Cyclist welcome): they all have a secure bikes room to store yours during the night.
You will receive all your travel documents through an app to download on your mobile phone. It will contain every day itineraries and your e-tickets for the castles as included in your journey. 
On the first day, you must arrive before 9:30am. If you plan to arrive later, please contact us.
On the last day, your luggage will be delivered for 5:30pm.

  • Très belle expérience de qualité !
    Expérience géniale dans un cadre superbe, l'agence locale est très à l'écoute et sympathique. Le personnel est souriant et disponible, les vélos loués sont bien entretenus. Le voyage est très bien organisé avec les outils adéquats (application GPS, entrées pour les châteaux ...), le prix est abordable, les hôtels très bien sélectionnés, l'itinéraire correspond parfaitement pour des débutants. Expérience à renouvelée d'urgence !
