Echappée à vélo entre Chambord et Chenonceau

Day 1 : Blois - Chambord - Cheverny

  • 43 km
For this first day, follow the Loire river until you reach the lovely city of Saint-Dye-sur-Loire. There, you will enter the forest to reach Chambord castle. Take your time to discover this monument. After the visit, keep going until you arrive in Cheverny where you will spend your first night.

Day 2 : Cheverny - Chaumont-sur-Loire

  • 31 km
Go through Sologne to reach Chaumont-sur-Loire castle. You will need at least 3 hours to visit the whole site, its contemporary art exhibitions, its castle - which offers an outstanding view - and the widely known International garden festival which theme changes every year!

Day 3 : Chaumont-sur-Loire - Chenonceaux - Amboise

  • 55 km
For your last day, leave your hotel to cycle to the most beautiful castle: Chenonceau. Visit this extraordinary castle defined by an almost uninterrupted succession of women who built, embellished, protected, restored and saved it! Don't forget to take a walk in the gardens - named after two rivals - and the park and its maze. Then, take your bikes to Amboise city where this tour ends.

How to get here?
Your trip:
Leave Blois for a 3 day long trip. You will visit Chambord castle and its incredible staircase, Chaumont-sur-Loire and its beautiful international garden festival & Chenonceau, an architectural jewel. You will go through amazing landscapes, forests, vineyards & Loire river banks.
 
How to arrive in Blois?

By train : Blois-Chambord Station. Our shop is at a 5 min. walk from the station.

By car: Highway A10, Blois/Vendôme exit

 
How to get back to Blois from Amboise ?
By train - from Amboise Station to Blois-Chambord station: about 25 min / 15 trains per day
We do not sell train tickets. Please contact SNCF for more information.
 
Where to park in Blois?
Free parking lots: 
Parc rue Halou - at 300m from our shop / at 50m from Blois-Chambord station
Promenade Edmond Mounin - at 850m from our shop / at 900m from Blois-Chambord station
Parking du Mail - at 1.3km from our shop / at 1.3km from Blois-Chambord station
Parking Saint-Jean - at 1.4km from our shop / at 1.5km from Blois-Chambord station
 
Fee-paying parking lots: 
Streets paking (4.80€ per day / 12€ ticket for 7 days)
(To get the 7 days ticket at the parking meter: yellow button -> 1 -> Enter your licence plate -> "Valider" - > "Max")
 
Underground fee-paying parking lot: 
Le Parking du Château (9€ per day / 28€ ticket for 7 days) - at 300m from our shop / at 350m from Blois-Chambord Station

Our hotels are accreditated Accueil Vélo (Cyclist welcome): they all have a secure bikes room to store yours during the night.
You will receive all your travel documents through an app to download on your mobile phone. It will contain every day itineraries and your e-tickets for the castles as included in your journey. 
On the first day, you must arrive before 9:30am. If you plan to arrive later, please contact us.
On the last day, your luggage will be delivered for 5:30pm.
