Carte itinéraire - Escapade à vélo Chambord – Cheverny – Chaumont

Day 1 : Blois - Chambord - Blois

  • 43 km
For this first day, follow the Loire river to the lovely town of Saint-Dye-sur-Loire where you will enter the Sologne region to reach Chambord castle. Take your time to visit it and its famous staircase. To get back to Blois, you will take another path through the countryside.

Day 2 : Blois - Chaumont-sur-Loire - Blois

  • 44 km
Do not leave too late today, as you will need at least 3 hours to visit Chaumont-sur-Loire, widely known for its International garden festival which theme changes every year! Its castle also offers a stunning view on the Loire river and its surroundings.

Day 3 : Blois - Cheverny - Blois

  • 50 km
For this last day, cycle through Sologne region and discover Cheverny castle, which inspired Hergé when he created Moulinsart. Do not hesitate to enter the Wine House near the castle to taste wines from AOC Cheverny & Cour-Cheverny. Come back to Blois at your own pace!

Your trip:
Based in Blois, you will discover three major castles of the Loire Valley: Chambord and its incredible staircase, Cheverny and its traditions, and Chaumont-sur-Loire and its amazing International garden festival.
 
How to arrive in Blois?

By train : Blois-Chambord Station. Our shop is at a 5 min. walk from the station.

By car: Highway A10, Blois/Vendôme exit

Promenade Edmond Mounin - at 850m from our shop / at 900m from Blois-Chambord station

Fee-paying parking lots: 
Streets paking (4.80€ per day / 12€ ticket for 7 days)
(To get the 7 days ticket at the parking meter: yellow button -> 1 -> Enter your licence plate -> "Valider" - > "Max")

Our hotels are accreditated Accueil Vélo (Cyclist welcome): they all have a secure bikes room to store yours during the night.
You will receive all your travel documents throught an app to download on your mobile phone. The app will contain every day itineraries and your e-tickets for the castles as included in your journey. 
As our e-tickets are non-dated, you can switch days! Moreover, you do not have to wait as they allow you to skip the lines.

    Nous avons passé trois jours superbes. On a eu un temps agréable, et les trois châteaux de la Loire à partir de Blois étaient accessibles en vélo avec une grosse partie en vraie piste cyclable. Hôtel bien placé, vélos pas haut de gamme mais bien entretenus.

  • Incroyable !
    Nous avons eu la chance de participer à un week-end romantique organisé par Loire Vélo, qui comprenait une visite de plusieurs châteaux autour de Blois. Tout ce que je peux dire, c'est que c'était incroyable. L'organisation était impeccable. Loire Vélo s'est occupé de tout, de la réservation de l'hôtel à la location de vélos, en passant par les billets coupe-file pour les châteaux. Tout était facile et fluide, et nous n'avons eu aucun problème pour nous déplacer d'un endroit à l'autre. Enfin, je tiens à remercier Gabriel, pour son professionnalisme et sa gentillesse.
